| Reflective Vest using 3M ScotchliteTM Tape (Safety Vest, Security Vest)
The Sumitomo 3M ScotchliteTM Vest is a waistcoat using 3M 'ScotchliteTM' reflective tape, and is called also a safety vest or a security vest, which outside workers wear on the road in the night for security against cars. It reflects enough without a connection with the intensity or the incidence of headlights, and the driver can confirm the working people with his own eyes from 100 m ahead. A high bright and a wide reflective light is based on the precise coating of the glass beads, and maintains a long life. The ScotchliteTM has the following features. (Sorry, we have only the text in Japanese.)  
As a matter of a fact we have made a vest using this reflective tape for the secure by ourselves. This reflective vests are the closings till now for outside workers in the night, policemen or guards. However we have made vests for civilians doing in the night, for example, night riders for bicyle and/or motorcycle, school boys and girls to go cram schools, night joggers for health care, people walking with dogs in the night and so on. Please make own presence known with the reflective vest. The special vests have a dog on the back, one vest is a white reflective tape and another is a red reflective tape on the blue-colored vest. The material of thie vest is made of polyester mesh for all seasons. The size is from 90 cm to 120 cm, which is adjustable using a magic tape. We can make other colors of the reflective tape and vest material, also other marks not only dog. Please ask us.  
The left lower photo shows a human back reflecting by the headlight in the dark night, and the right lower photo shows a walking human wearing the vest. It is Japan made and a good tailor, and so the price is higher than the imported cheap ones. Please compare the reflective light between Japan made and imported one. Handmade Dress Hanger and Scrubbing Brusch

June 14-15, 2008 : Sanno-Festival of Akasaka Hie-Jinja
 
 
The Sannou-Festival was held every other year on June 14 (Saturday) and 15 (Sunday), 2008 being luckly to have nice weather. The Kyouni-Omikoshi (belongs to the Kyobashi 2-chome) was carried by people of Kyobashi 2-chome on the Ginza-street. Behind the Omikoshi there were Kappore dancers. Thank you for the companies and people who contributed and related to this festival. The Kyouni-Omikoshi was carried near the Cats Street and some cats paid attention to festival noises.

December 1, 2007 : A member of the Symbiotic Activities for Pets
Symbiotic promoting man / women are people, who drive promotions for the Symbiotic Activities for Pets under the Law of Animal Protection and Care, the Direction of the Ministry of the Environment and the Regulation of Tokyo Metropolitan Government by a proposal of the Conference for the Protection and Care to Animals of Chuo City. About 100 people are commissioned by the Mayor of Chuo City.This time Ms Ichikawa of "Tamiya" is commissioned and another member of this area is Ms Natsuko Oe of "Mokkei (Classic Arts Shop)" in Kyobashi 1-chome. If you want to consult about cats, please come to us and we will be a help to you. |

June 9-11, 2006 : Sanno-Festival of Akasaka Hie-Jinja
 
The Jinkousai-Festival, the big parade consisting of the big Shrine-Dashi (Horen), the Shrine-Omikoshi (portable shrine), 500 people wearing old Japanese costumes and 600m long, was held every other year on June 9, Friday unfortunately in the rainy day.On the next day, Saturday, the Kyouni-Omikoshi (belongs to the Kyobashi 2-chome) was carried by people of Kyobashi 2-chome and Nihonbashi, both areas are joint partners this year, including foreigners on the Ginza-street from Kyobashi to Nihonbashi. Behind the Omikoshi there were Kappore dancers. On June 11, Sunday it was unluckly rainy, however many people were coming and joined. Kyobashi and Nihonbashi areas are business town, but this weekend showed a downtown atomosphere having a long tradition in Japan. Thank you for the companies and people who contributed and related to this festival. (The Kyouni-Omikoshi was carried near the Cats Street and the cats might be frightened of noises.)

And do your best in everything. Last year there were troubles and accidents which had never happened until now. Sometimes the problem happened which casued a distrust of human. However we pray this year that this godless time has passed and we are able to have better time. We pray God for happiness to all of you and cats ! |
February 9-20, 2005 : Rope magic on Mr. Maric's miracle dream show
Mr. Maric's miracle dream show No.1 is holding at the Hakuhinkan theater near the JR-Shinbashi Station from February 9, Wednesday to 20, Sunday."The most entertaining one is a miracle and the biggest laugh is a surprise." is the theme of the Miracle dream show No.1. We can enjoy 2 hours, with dream and without a present reality, to see the magic show of young magicians, whom Mr Maric certified. The story teller is Mr. Masao Komatsu disguised as late Mr. Nagaharu Yodogawa, very famous movie commentator, and he presides the show with young magicians. There are many magics as the magic draem by Mr. Maric to a quiet rope magic by young magician. It is a must for the people who is interesting in magic. 
The left under photo shows Mr. Maric and President Mr. Yamada of Firm Tenyo, the big seller of magic goods, and the right under photo is a part of the cover page of the show-catalogue. The color of the places of A and of B look like different darkness for human eyes, but the same. It is a magic. You can compare the RGB values with the places A and B and find the same values.

January 2, 2005 : The Movie "Odoru Daisosasen II" on the Air
The big topic police movie "Odoru Daisosasen 2 (The Dancing Dragnet; The Movie 2; A Blockade the Rainbowbridge !)", which is talked about among young people from the spring of the year 2003, was on the Air on January 1, 2005. Our special made Red ropewas used as the important movie property. The murder spot is surrounded with this red rope like a spider web, and moreover the rope is tied very skillfully and carefully. The red color is remarkable and we forget for a moment this scene is the murder spot. The tying of the rope is a special way and is often tied among SM players. An tying experiment at the Police office uses the red rope and the red rope is also left at the murderer's place. The red rope is used 3 times, which are very important scenes. This red rope looks like a normal rope at a glance. However if we use our business word, then we say this is not rope but cord, namely, Cotten Braid with core. The outside skin called GAWAHIMO is very thin and the material of a braid core is soft, flexible but strong using our idea. This braid needs during 50 days from cotton thread through braid and dyeing to finish. 
About 30 years ago, the late and first President, Founder Tamiya made this special braid for magicians. Now it is a little thicker and heavier and is used very few for magic. But this braid is used for other purposes and we prepared colored braids by request. We are handling ropes and cords about 90 years, and are very pleased that this classic and hand-made braid is used in the movie as an important role.

| June 1, 2009 : 100 Issues of "The Cats Street"
No. 1 of "The Cats Street" was published in January 2002, and reported that 2 cats (Nozomi-chan and Hikari-chan) had contraceptive operations using the Fujiko-Fund, which was established for the contraception for cats and by which Fujiko-chan was first operated. At last on June 1, 2009 No. 100 of "The Cats Street" was published. During this period many things happened, but we can continue to publisch the cats news with your cooperation, which we thank you. Sometimes the Cats had appeared a few times on TV. To our regret Nozomi-chan was disappeared but Hikari-chan is well in good health now. Could you please look after the cats on the Cats Street hearafter too. Thank you for your kind cooperation.  |

We could buy a bench by a sales profit of the free market held on the Cats Street. Please sit down on the bench and relax between the lunch time.

| June 11, 2007 : I lost my way in Tokyo.
I lost my way on the street of Kyobashi 2-chome Nishi in tokyo on last Friday, June 8, 2007. A kind lady found me and took me to the Cats Street of Kyobashi 2-chome. I have cut my teeth and can eat canned foods but am not familiar with dry foods. I was brought to Kawagoe in Saitama-ken, north of Tokyo because it is not easy to live a youngest cat alone over the weekend in the big city. I make a close friend with Marron of the beagle.   |
April 20, 2007 : Mr. Mainoumi came to our Cats Street.
On April 16, Mondauy and 20, Friday, 2007 Mr. Mainoumi, the former Komusubi of Sumo wrestler came to our Cats Street. We were taken films and interviewed for a Saturday morning program of Nihon TV called "Drop in the Metro Ginza-Line". We will be on the air on May 12, Saturday.However we were noticed that our scene will be off the air because of the program arrangement. We are sorry to bother people who wait for that TV program. |
| January 01, 2006 : I am Maru-chan.
I came this street from Februay 2005 to get food. At the beginning I couldn't have a friendship with other cats and I came home after I had eaten enough. People call me Yamato-kun of black cat, but I have a name of Maru-chan at my place in Kyoubashi 1-chome. I ignored the calling. In April I didn't know why people knew my name but people call me Maru-chan. I spent much time in May and I joined cats on this street at last in Summer. I ate always another helping and am getting bigger. Thank you for your help in future too.   |
| February 01, 2005 : Present cats on "The Cats Street"
A small HIKARI-chan (Left, female) is here since old times. She slept well like a log on the cane bed because of the cold winter. HANAKO-chan (Right, female) struggled to get the bed wuth KOTARO-kun. After we made a carton bed with a blanket for KOTARO-kun, then there was no struggle and HANAKO-chan slept well like a log on the cane bed.   KOTARO-kun (Left, male) was small but is getting bigger and has an intrepid face, so we should call him TARO-kun without KO. (KO menas small person in Japanese.) Then he acts like elder brother. CHIRO-kun (Center, male) is also getting bigger. Newcomer, YAMATO-kun (Right, male), who is a black cat on TV CM 'Kuroneko Yamato Takkyubin (Door to door parcel delivery)' keeps quiet during meal.    |

Our "Cats" were on air around 19:15 at TV program "Pochi Tama" of TV Tokyo, Channel 12 on September 24, Friday. The cats are introduced as cats living with people in Kyobashi, the center of Tokyo.

August 11, 2004 : "The Cats Street" on location for TV program "Pochi Tama" of TV Tokyo, Channel 12
   On August 11, 2004 (Wednessday) our "The Cats Street" was on location for TV program "Pochi Tama" of TV Tokyo, Channel 12 from early morning to evening by a cameraman and an assistant. Today was also very hot day and 37th continuing hot summer days from July 6. This TV program is very popular animal program in the Friday night of 19:00 called "Pochi Tama". To our regret, the famous dog of this program "Masao-kun" didn't come. However our cats cannot understand language, so the Cameraman took movies all day long.There are 2 pot plants of 'Duranta' on "the Cats Street". The flowers are now in full bloom and people, who come and exchange words with cats in lunch time, feast their eyes on the beautiful flower. |

There are some spaces in downtowns before, but there are no open spaces in Kyobashi 2-chome because of many building sites. There are also many stray cats (homeless cats) more than supposition in the center of Tokyo, and these cats were sometimes killed by traffic accidents. We called the branch road front of our shop "The Cats Street", and rear these cats with care of everyone's good faith not to bother people. The stray cat is able to undergo a contraceptive operation at cheap cost on the understanding of a veterinarian, then stray cats are undergone the operation one by one. "Fujiko Fund" was established and Fujiko is a cat's name who was undergone the operation first time with care of someone's good faith. We appreciate people who take care of cats on Saturday, Sunday and holiday. Please kindly look after these stray cats. With thanks to people concerned we give report called "The Cats Street News" every month. We show the map of "The Cats Street", and please come to our cats street to see cats, if you find free time. Thank you. This is why we began to publish the news No.1 from January 2002.  |
